Our trip started in Cape Town, South Africa. This is the view from our hotel room at the Victoria & Alfred Hotel, with Table Mountain in the background.

Kathleen having lunch while the Blue Train rocks gently through the Hex River Valley, Cape Province. Menu items include local specialties such as rack of perfumed Karoo lamb, Springbok (venison) medallions, and seafood Bobotie, an adaption of a Cape Malay dish.
