Game-viewing in the Chobe area was excellent, and we came across several large groups of sable and roan antelope, waterbuck, hundreds of elephants and a large herd of buffalo, amongst others.

Chobe Game Reserve is a national park, so on this part of the safari other vehicles are often encountered. The rest of the safari is conducted in private concessions, where there are few other visitors.

These two lionesses were amongst the many lions which we observed in the Chobe area, renowned for its fierce lions which often go for buffalo.

The dining room, lounge and pub at Linyanti Tented Camp, where we spent two nights. There were elephants everywhere, and the damage they had done to the riverine forest was only too plain to see.
